Ivermectin

Description Ivermectin is an anti-parasite medication used to treat parasitic diseases. Ivermectin is an FDA-approved drug for use in humans to treat a variety of parasitic infections including parasitic worms, hookworm, and whipworm. It may also be used as an effective treatment for a wide range of other conditions and as a treatment of onchocerciasis, intestinal strongyloidiasis, and onchocerciasis or river blindness. This medication is used to treat certain parasitic roundworm infections. Curing parasitic infections helps to improve your quality of life. In people with weakened defense (immune) systems, curing roundworm infections can reduce the risk of developing a severe or life-threatening infection. How it works Ivermectin belongs to a class of drugs known as antihelmintic. It works by paralyzing and killing parasites. The antiviral activity of Ivermectin has been shown against a wide range of RNA and DNA viruses, for example, dengue, Zika, yellow fever, and others. Ivermectin oral tablet works by binding to parts inside the parasite. It eventually paralyzes and kills off the parasite, or it stops adult parasites from making larvae for a while. This treats your infection. Ivermectin side effects Ivermectin oral tablet may cause drowsiness. It can also cause other side effects.
